THE WIFE in London: Hattie Rickards

Next on THE WIFE’s Tour of up and coming London Jewelry Designers is Hattie Rickards. For the last 12 years Hattie’s background, expertise and passion have been jewelry design. All of her creations are something personal and distinctive stemming from a life-long obsession with jewelry. All of her playful gold pieces tell a unique story, which is probably why she was awarded the coveted accolade of ‘Bright Young Gem of 2011’ by International Jewellery London.

 I popped into her Kensington Studio to check out her collection “Revealed” which is a strong and colorful collection of twelve rings with a fun cheerful twist. It features rings which are designed with the excitement of kinetic movement. Her other collection “GEO” features gold rings, necklaces, bracelets and earrings that are inspired by relationships. The pieces depict visions of puzzles combining geometrical shapes bringing the idea of connection and becoming one. Hattie launched her ‘Bespoke Service’ in March 2013 focusing on fine jewellery and engagement rings. Clients are able to personalize their pieces by choosing their own color of gold, precious stones and enamel.

 The luxury brand also has an ethical backbone- everything is handmade here in the UK, made from 18k Fair trade and Fair mined certified gold.
