2 Weddings and a Trip to London

I’m Finally back from my travels…. First it was a trip to London, Then if was off to Missouri for Thanksgiving, Boston then Home! Below are a few highlights from the London Portion. Enjoy!
-THE WIFE

First Evening in London, Myself and some old friends from New York all went out on the town in honor of Gerry Butler’s Birthday. Above me posing with newly made friend Simon and his super cool aviator hat.

Old dear friends from New York, Myself, Christian, Nick and a Gentlemen in a Kilt.

The First Wedding I attended was unbelievably amazing. Not only did my Friend Tom Freud do an amazing job planning the glamorous event, But the beautiful Bride and Groom looked so in love in the most enchanting way.
The beautifully draped royal purple Teroni silk from a dress my mom and I designed made for the Wedding.

One of the Ladies Rooms at the wedding had the most elegant and rich gold leaf wall paper, so I couldn’t resist the urge to have a mini photo shoot in my newly made dress.

My Dear friend Martha’s dress fit right in with the Gold decor. To me, her photos resemble an ad for a perfume campaign.

I had lunch with friends, Tom and Chloe at Inamo in Soho. A restaurant where you order via touch screen computer at your table. Each time you scan over an item on the digital menu the item appears as a picture on your plate. Once you confirm your food choices, they arrive by waitress shortly after. You can also change the scenery at your place setting, I choose Stars and Cosmos. It was a delight to lunch outside the Box for the afternoon.
My best friend Clemmie an her parents had been left with her 3 nephews and Niece (all under the age of 4), while their parents went for a couples vacation in Vietnam. Of course I volunteered my superb help and babysitter services while I was in town. Photographed above and Below, Clemmie reading Bamba and Wilford their Bedtime Stories.

The Next Day it was off for a chilly and windy walk through Black Heath Park.
Bamba Runs happily like a wild child
I ask Bamba if he’s ready for Lunch while the wind blows in our faces.
Clemmie and Bamba! She’s Such a Good Auntie!

It is a long standing Christmas tradition that Tom and I go ice skating every year since we’ve been friends… So this evening we took to the Natural History Museum for some winter fun with Clemmie in tow. Tom helps me straps my Skates on.

After ice skating we went to Dans le Noir, a restarant where you eat in the dark. It was such a fasinating experience. We arrived and ordered before being lead into the dark dinning room by a blind waiter. We all decided on the “Suprise” Menu, so we would have absolutley have no idea what we were eating. Once in the dinning room, you literally could not see anything, not even a hint of light. Once the food arrived, it was a race to see who could find out what food we were consuming. Our guess: a very rare prime rib, fish, mashed potatoes, rice and potato chips. Haha… Turns out we were actually dinning on Osterich, Buffalo, Mashed Potatoes, rice and dried artichoke chips. All in all… it was a very fun adventure, but the food was dissapointing and not very good for an experince that is supposed to highen your senses.

One Evening Clemmie orginzied a Dinner party. Not just any ordinary dinner party, But the location was at a British council house, where an installation artist had simulated a plane crash in his apartment complete with a real plane wing coming through the ceiling!!! So 10 of us all dinned under a plane wing, with wooden planks for a table with hay all over the floor…Haha!! Ohh but the fun didnt stop there, the artist arranged for a proffesor to give mirco presentations during each course served! It was a great thing everyone in our group had a great since of humor and had fun with it.

My last night in the city before hopping on a train to the English countryside. My dear friend Charlie threw me a lovely drinks party at his lengendary bar, Bart’s, in Chelsea. This isn’t any ordinary bar, but an extraordinary bar set up to resemble a 1940’s speak easy complete with a treasure chest of dress up clothes. You even have to ring a bell and know the secret password to enter. So with 25 of our closest friends we all had a wonderfully made cocktail and a good ol’ game of dress up.

The Gorgeous Dinning room, This room was the most enchating and fairy like designed wedding reception. Hanging candles, moss, fall leaves, heavenly scented flowers and Delcious food for guest to feast on. It was a simplely marvelous evening followed by dancing!
