Next on THE WIFE’s Tour of up and coming London Jewelry Designers is Hattie Rickards. For the last 12 years Hattie’s background, expertise and passion have been jewelry design. All of her creations are something personal and distinctive stemming from a life-long obsession with jewelry. All of her playful gold pieces tell a unique story, which is probably why she was awarded the coveted accolade of ‘Bright Young Gem of 2011’ by International Jewellery London.

Up next on my tour of London’s up and coming jewelry designers is Jasmine Alexander. Part poet, part jewelry designer her passion and emotion shine through her creative avante garde gold jewelry. Through self discovery and meditation, she wanted to expose her mind to the universe’s shadows, darkness and violence to understand her own tragedies as a child. Using the finest gold materials she creates one of a kind pieces through illusion, perception and conceptual layers.

As many of you know I’ve been spending the Summer in London. The most popular activity among various groups of my friends has been going to weekend festivals. So I thought when in Rome….I’ve now been to 4 Festivals: Glastonbury, Kimberly, Secret Garden Party and Wilderness over the course of 2 months…. and WOW do the British know how to have fun! I also got incredibly lucky with the weather, 80 degrees and clear sunny skies every weekend…are we sure this is London?
My least favorite was Glastonbury, just because of it’s sheer size and the fact that I’ve been spoiled by Coachella all these years. I would definitely recommend Secret Garden Party and Wilderness no matter what your age for a wild, free and fun adventure.
