Must Downlowd: ‘Mumford and Sons’

On their debut, “Sigh No More”, English quartet ‘Mumford and Sons’ cooked up a rousing, romantic, folk, rock perfect for sloshed barroom sing-a-longs. This is an album that will knock you over at first. But when you gather yourself, get back on your feet and listen again, you’ll want to hit the play button multiple times. They have  accomplished bluegrass and folk into an Irish country hybrid. It was been critically praised and talked about on Rolling Stone as one of the best albums of the year. Needless to say, I came to the party late and haven’t listen to this album until a week ago. My favorites on mine include:  “Sigh No More,” “The Cave” and “Roll Away Your Stone,” “Little Lion Man,” and “Dust Bowl Dance.” Available on iTunes Now – Taryn Cox for THE WIFE

Music to Download: Local Natives, ‘Gorilla Manor’

The 5 members of the band ‘Local Natives’ happen to be natives of Silver Lake, California. Their triumphant album “Gorilla Manor” gets more creative with each and every song and never bores. For More romantic tunes with sweet smoothness and soulful breakdowns listen to: “Cards and Quarters” and “Who Knows Who Cares.” For a more memorable defining upbeat song go for: “Shape Shifter” and “Camera Talk.” Any Wife should put this on to put a bounce in her step for Spring. Available on iTunes, $7.99

“Wives and Lovers” by Jack Jones

Hey Little Girl. Comb your hair, fix your makeup
Soon he will open the door
Don’t think because there’s a ring on your finger
You needn’t try anymore

For wives should always be lovers too
Run to his arms the moment he comes home to you
I’m warning you…

Day after day
There are girls at the office
And men will always be men
Don’t send him off with your hair still in curlers
You may not see him again

For wives should always be lovers too
Run to his arms the moment he comes home to you
He’s almost here…

Hey! Little girl
Better wear something pretty
Something you’d wear to go to the city and
Dim all the lights, pour the wine, start the music
Time to get ready for love
Time to get ready
Time to get ready for love
