Restaurant Etiquette: Black Napkins

6 years ago I’ll never forget attending a brunch at The Four Seasons and the attentive waiter asking me if I would prefer a white or a black napkin. I looked at him quizzically and asked why I was given a choice. He patiently responded “We’ll Miss, your wearing a black dress and using a black napkin will avoid getting white lint on your beautiful dress.” What a brilliant idea I thought…Why doesn’t every restaurant offer this special treatment?

After recently visiting London, Granger and Co. quickly became one of my favorite breakfast sports. Internationally renowned chef, Bill Granger, is well known for his easy going approach to cooking. The menu offers classic options to start your morning off right, done perfectly in the most equisite way. Cecconi’s Sunday Family Suppers

Inviting all families to join Cecconi’s West Hollywood for Sunday family suppers! The meal includes two large bowls of pasta and two pizzas (recipes will change weekly) served family-style. A minimum of four people for $50, $12.50 per person for added guests. Also the house red or white can be added for an extra $25. For the kids there will be activities on hand  including a magician and a face painter!  Sister company Soho House has hired 2 Nannies to help with the kiddos while the parents enjoy that much deserved glass of wine!  Every Sunday 4:00pm – 7:30pm. Ladies Who Lunch: Cafe Gratitude

Cafe Gratitude has become one of my favorite stomping grounds for lunches with friends. Terrifying as it might sound their food is 100% organic vegan specializing in gourmet raw and cooked cuisines, but don’t let that scare you away. Some of my favorite dishes include “I am Ecstatic” (Miso Maple Glazed Brussels Sprouts)”I am Fortified” (Quinoa with Roasted Vegetables) and “I am Transformed” (Vegan Tacos). All of their cafes create gourmet dishes with organic produce from their very own farm in Vacaville, California (Be Love Farm). Cafe Gratitude honors the earth, promotes consciousness and sustainability for both our well being.
