Tuesday evening, LoveGold kicked off Hinting Season with a small fete for LA’s biggest style bloggers in the know. With Hinoki and the Bird set as the backdrop, fashion bloggers sipped on muddled fresh fruit cocktails, while getting a sneak peek at jewelry from Hoorsenbuhs, Platt Boutique Jewelry and Zoe Chicco. Bloggers Olivia Lopez from Lustforlife.com and Annabelle Fleaur from Vivialuxury.com bonded while instagramming snap shots of a vintage Chanel watch and gold Hoorsenbuh’s cuff.
Hallie Swanson (HallieDaily.com) successfully pulled off wearing a full length Alice Temperley gown with a chic gold clutch, which proved why she was selected as Vanity Fair’s best dressed winner. THE WIFE gushed to designer Zoe Chicco about the excitement over her gold and pave diamond rings, and why they were on the top of every wife’s wish list.
After playing dress up in a bounty of well designed golden jewels, style curators sat down to a delicious dinner with personalized hand drawn portraits at each place setting. The cherry on the sundae was when Zoe Chicco’s glimmering gold earrings came out in lieu of desserts for each guest to take home… followed by tasty miso donuts with honey caramel. LoveGold certainly hit our mark with Hinting Season, as THE WIFE always favors being spoiled with gold gifts and treats to satisfy every girls sweet tooth. Every October Veuve Clicquot descends upon Los Angeles bringing with them an enchanting day of Polo. On a beautifully warm Fall day, The Will Rogers Polo Grounds were transformed into a darling day for glamorous girls, wives, their husbands and adorable children in tow. Orange and white set the ambiance with rustic tables, charming wicker picnic baskets and of course never ending bottles of Veuve Clicquot champagne. My friends and I arrived and enjoyed an afternoon of lunching, socializing, stomping the divots and of course the wonderful game of polo. Nicknamed Number 5, 5 Hertford street has remained London’s hottest private members club since the opening last July. Settled in Mayfair in an 18th century townhouse on a quiet corner of Shepard Market, Robin Birley has created the ultimate restaurant, bar and downstairs club “Loulou’s,” where the posh come out to play.
After a 30 million dollar renovation, the interior is exquisitely wild with deep, bold colors and prints. Plush seating, lavish rugs and even a giant stuffed giraffe that greets guests as they enter the Madagascan Bar. All Summer in London there were quiet murmurings of a mystery island in England where socialites, celebrities and the jetset went for wild weekends away. The mysterious destination in question…. Osea Island, which has hosted 5 exclusive events over the last few months. Luckily I was one of the selected few that received an invite to experience the island for myself. My invite came in mid June along with 80 other guests. Our host for the weekend was Music Producer, Nigel Frieda, owner of the 400 acre island which is just a few miles from the town of Maldon, in the middle of Essex’s Blackwater Estuary. The ultimate WIFE event to attend during summer in England is The Henley Royal Regatta. This annual event is best known for being one of the highlights of the summer sporting calendar and the London social scene. Each year attracting thousands of visitors over a 5 day period in the first week in July.
The scene is set on the River Thames where spectators enjoy an afternoon of rowing races, while drinking champagne and nibbling on strawberries and cream. I was lucky enough to be invited to the China White enclosure for a day of lunching, high tea, watching Harvard take home The Visitors Cup Challenge and a dance party to celebrate.
