In all of their glittering gold, Hollywood’s fashion set migrated to The Chateau Marmont’s Selma House Saturday evening. The reason… LoveGold was hosting a cocktail party in honor of Julianne Moore’s Golden Globe nomination for best actress in “Game Change.” The actress showed up in a sleek, black sleeveless Givenchy  turtleneck dress accompanied by vintage Van Cleef & Arpels gold jewelry. Guests enjoyed cocktails while cultivating light conversation in candle lit rooms. All the while being mesmerized by an exquisite collection of  gold jewels cleverly draped on vertical birch trees. On Wednesday afternoon, the World Gold Council hosted a Pre Golden Globes luncheon honoring this years Miss Golden Globe,  Francesca Eastwood. The honoree and actress, Francesca is no stranger to Tinseltown as her father is none of than Hollywood legend, Clint Eastwood. Throughout the afternoon she radiated in a strapless and colorful Armani gown along with gold  jewelry by Jennifer Meyer.

The lunch was held at the Chateau Marmont’s newest edition to the hotel, Selma House. Glamorous guests like Neil Lane enjoyed champagne aperitif while discovering the beautifully decorated cottage by David Rogers. Guests also got the lucky chance to marvel at the stunning gold jewels on display in festive bird nests. Jewelry designers: Solange Azagury-Partridge, Pamela Love, H. Stern and Hoorsenbuhs dazzled the eyes of the lunching ladies while adding a little gold glimmer to the ambiance. Since Mulberry’s Spring 2012 Ready to Wear took inspiration from the British summer holiday, it seemed only fitting that the L.A. dinner in honor of the collection follow suit. Thus, last night the Chateau Marmont’s pool patio was transformed into a jolly English seaside boardwalk (as envisioned by Mulberry creative director Emma Hill) with animal balloons, floating blow-up alligators and beach balls, sculptures of giant ice cream cones, and festooned Blackpool–style lights. “My nickname is ‘More, more. Bigger, bigger,’ ” said Hill of her approach to party decor.

Despite the carnival-like surroundings, the dinner itself was a relatively low-key and casual affair that drew stylish locals like Gia Coppola, Vogue Contributing Editor Lawren Howell, Nathalie Love, Jaime King, and Jessica Joffe. Tableside Instax Mini cameras and novelty paper glasses with shades that spelled out “Oooh” kept guests occupied until the first course arrived, at which point talk turned to (no surprises here) Hollywood–sanctioned topics like holiday film releases and X Factor eliminations.

An acoustic post-dinner set by sultry chanteuse Lana Del Rey had everyone on the edge of their seats. As Del Rey sang a string of ballads in her signature husky voice, including her hit “Video Games.” – Vogue.Com

Monday night at was a fete at Soho House West Hollywood forJerome clothing and Freeway Eyewear. Freeeway debuted it’s two new frame styles to its line of luxury eyewear and premiered first fashion film “Freeway”. Hosts Alex Israel, Emily Jerome and Jessica Kantor  made sure all of LA’s Fashionistas turned up for the stylish cocktail party. The ambiance was complete with Musician Ariana Delawari who preformed a live set from her album Lion of Panjshir. – Taryn Cox for THE WIFE
