In all of their glittering gold, Hollywood’s fashion set migrated to The Chateau Marmont’s Selma House Saturday evening. The reason… LoveGold was hosting a cocktail party in honor of Julianne Moore’s Golden Globe nomination for best actress in “Game Change.” The actress showed up in a sleek, black sleeveless Givenchy turtleneck dress accompanied by vintage Van Cleef & Arpels gold jewelry. Guests enjoyed cocktails while cultivating light conversation in candle lit rooms. All the while being mesmerized by an exquisite collection of gold jewels cleverly draped on vertical birch trees. On Wednesday afternoon, the World Gold Council hosted a Pre Golden Globes luncheon honoring this years Miss Golden Globe, Francesca Eastwood. The honoree and actress, Francesca is no stranger to Tinseltown as her father is none of than Hollywood legend, Clint Eastwood. Throughout the afternoon she radiated in a strapless and colorful Armani gown along with gold jewelry by Jennifer Meyer.
The lunch was held at the Chateau Marmont’s newest edition to the hotel, Selma House. Glamorous guests like Neil Lane enjoyed champagne aperitif while discovering the beautifully decorated cottage by David Rogers. Guests also got the lucky chance to marvel at the stunning gold jewels on display in festive bird nests. Jewelry designers: Solange Azagury-Partridge, Pamela Love, H. Stern and Hoorsenbuhs dazzled the eyes of the lunching ladies while adding a little gold glimmer to the ambiance. On Saturday, October 6, 2012, the 3rd annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic will return to the beautiful Will Rogers State Historic Park in Pacific Palisades for the most highly anticipated and stylish daytime event in Los Angeles!
Set on the idyllic grounds where famous actor and polo connoisseur Will Rogers used to play polo himself along with fellow Hollywood luminaries, this historic site is located just outside Rogers’ former private home. Angelenos are invited to spend their Saturday watching world-renowned polo player and event co-host Nacho Figueras and his team, Black Watch, go head-to-head against Team Nespresso, all while sipping Veuve Clicquot and enjoying fare from some of Los Angeles’ most celebrated gourmet food trucks.
