This is what I’ve come to call “Healthy” candy. Olympia Le-Tan, the designer of a delightful line of hand-sewn bags. Handbags and clutches that look like books—does a better combination exist? With their colorful felt appliqué embroideries, liberty print lining, playfully off-kilter stitching and joyful illustrations. Each handmade-felt book-clutch is based on famous covers of lit classics, such as Moby Dick and Cather in the Rye. These are produced in limited runs, so it’d be wise of you to get one while you can.

One of my favorite discoveries of the year is Momofuku Milk Bar’s Cake Truffles. They are little bits of bite size heaven that melt in your mouth. My favorite flavors are Birthday Cake (Rainbow cake crumbles with Sprinkles) and Apple Pie (Cheesecake filling with Apple compote and Pie Crumbles). If your not in walking distance to one of their locations in Manhatten they are worth every penny to ship and or make excellent gifts! $3.00 for 3 pack or $16.00 for a box of 12.
