Mulberry Dinner Party, Part One

(A very British Dinner of Fish and Chips)

If you followed the trail of glitter through the Chateau Marmont Tuesday night, you found yourself magically transported to a private dinner party hosted by Mulberry. “It’s like ‘Hansel and Gretel,’ ” explained Mulberry creative directorEmma Hill of the event, which, she explained, borrowed from multiple cultural reference points, like Valley of the Dolls “and some naughty English royalty.”

To that end, Hill had the pool at the Chateau surrounded by larger-than-life (glitter-covered, of course!) leopards and hung sparkling roses from the trees. Taking in the spectacle—and Mulberry’s new fall line—were guests like Kelly Osbourne, Jessica Joffe (in a Thakoon tie-dye dress that matched the psychedelic-inspired scene perfectly), Jessica Stroup, and Nathalie Love, all of whom were given masks and Fuji instant cameras to capture the festivities. “I want delicious!” Cat Deeley called out to her tablemates, camera in hand, while Kate Bosworth (who was wearing her own Fashion’s Night Out T-shirt) fended off playful punches from Hill. “I love her,” Hill said, laughing. “I really love her!” After the dinner, the evening’s DJ, Alexa Chung, kept the night going as Teen Vogue’s Andrew Bevan danced with Gia Coppola until the wee hours of the morning.
