Christian Dior had an obsession with color, seeing it as the ultimate expression of vibrant life and femininity, and was always seeking new ways to express color through experimentation. Vibrant pops of color still reign supreme at the House of Dior and have become signatures of Raf Simons’ creations. Especially the notable pieces in Mr. Simon’s first collection for Dior, which included designs created with custom, hand died Tie-Dye fabric inspired by the artist Sterling Ruby.
For Summer 2015, Raf Simon’s “Tie Dye” fabric led to the creation of an entire bold makeup collection, including Dior’s Tie Dye Ombre Effect Top Coat. Here at THE WIFE™ we’ve never been more excited to paint our nails for Summer. This very special top coat, works to twist the two Dior Vernis summer shades for an all-new finish with a gradation “Ombré” effect. THE WIFE™ can easily use the translucent glossy texture to use to create different gradation finishes on bare or polished nails
Directions for The Three Stroke Ombré Finish: For the first layer, apply two coats of a Dior Vernis color shade (or base coat). Next apply one coat of the Tie Dye Top Coat just at the tip of the nail and let dry. Then apply a second layer on the top half of the nail and let dry, and then a final coat on the whole nail.
