The newest fragrance from Dior’s La Collection Privée takes it’s name from La Chateau de la Colle Noire, a home Monsieur Dior purchased in 1951. When creating this vibrant, contemporary rose fragrance, Dior Perfumer- Creator François Demachy’s primary inspiration was the emblematic estate in the south of France.
La Colle Noire is a spicy and woody rose fragrance that features a top note of Rose de Mai, harvested from the Dior-exclusive gardens at the Domaine de Manon in Grasse, France, neighboring the Château de la Colle Noire. Rose de Mai, also known as the Centifolia Rose, or “hundred-petalled rose”, is delicate, unique, and powerful.
The fragrance’s mid note is Sri Lankan Sandalwood, one of the most sought-after ingredients in the world. And as the fragrances base note, White Musk, provides a powdery cotton effect which leaves a fresh impression and a velvety quality on the skin, $210 at Dior.com
