Ingredients:
- Challah Bread
- 6 Organic Free Range Eggs
- 1 1/2 Cups Organic Milk or Half and Half
- 4 Tbsp Almond Extract
- 1/2 Tbsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 Tbsp Fresh Grated Nutmeg
- 1 Vanilla Bean Scraped
- Pinch of Salt
- Grape Seed Oil
- Powdered Sugar
- Butter
- Pure Maple Syrup
Directions:
- Slice challah bread into 1 inch thick slices.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, almond extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla bean and salt in a shallow dish.
- Heat oil in frying pan over medium heat.
- Dip challah slices into almond egg mixture and fry on each side until golden brown. Keep in warm oven until ready to serve.
- Enjoy with sprinkled powered sugar, butter, pure maple syrup and fresh berries (optional). – Taryn Cox for THE WIFE.
