Tips for THE WIFE: Hall Passes

My definition of a “Hall Pass” is giving your husband a night out with the boys. Written by Rasmus Michau, a newlywed who is often granted hall passes from his wife since he certainly knows a thing or two about night life and getting friends together for a good time!

Based in Paris, Rasmus, is a social maven known for the extraordinary parties he throws. The city has become a livelier place from the official FIAC art fair Ball to Paris Largest club Cirque Paradis, where some of the world’s best DJs come to play. He has also founded events agency Hmm! ww.sayhmm.com that mainly focuses on luxury goods brands and similar creative industries and launched SayWho? www.saywho.fr, that has become Paris’ main people magazine. And his latest project BonjourBonjour is a proximity social network for smartphones that allows people to get together by saying “Bonjour” to each other. BonjourBonjour tries to recreate the sense of a party, by allowing people to socialize in their area thanks to common affinities and friends. 1. A man needs to see his friends and talk sports, politics and also relationships. As going for tea with his pals isn’t very manly, he needs to do this in an environment where his friends and him are comfortable. A bar or a pool hall is usually a good place for this.

2. Getting drunk is a very good therapy. To forget about all the hassles of daily life, nothing better than a boozy night out on the town. If your man was a party animal before settling down, he will need at least one a month…

 3. You don’t want to turn your man into a couch potato. Even though it is very recomforting to have your man right where you want him, remember how he was when you met him and fell in love with him. Turning him into someone else might be disappointing to both of you.

 4. Don’t try to tame your man for no reason. A subdued man can become like a rebellious child and do stupid things.

5. No reason to be jealous. Your man loves you and if you give him what he needs, hall pass included, there is no need why it should not last forever. -Rasmus Michau
